Week 31 Shopping List

NOTES:
• This shopping list corresponds to the previous 5 recipes from Week 31. It is organized by category and then within each category by meal. After each item you’ll see a number in parenthesis which corresponds to the meal number. That way you can easily pick which recipes you want to try and then find those items (or cross items out) on the list.
• Under Veggies/Fruit I have italicized anything that is a veggie or fruit but NOT found in the fresh fruits and veggie area of the supermarket.


Meat/Fish
• Rotisserie chicken, cut up (1) (or omit if making vegetarian wraps)
• 1-2 lbs (depending on family size) of boneless beef round steaks (2)
• Ground beef – 1 lb (3)• 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (5)

Veggies/Fruit
• Onions – 1 small red (1), 1/2 c. chopped white or yellow (2), 1 large (3)
• Bell peppers - 1 of any color (1), 1 c. chopped red (2), 1 red (3), 1 yellow (3), 1 orange (3), 1 green (3)
• Cucumber - 1 (1)
• Green or red leaf lettuce OR baby spinach (1)
• Shoestring carrots (pre-bagged) OR 2 large carrots, shredded (1)
• Tomato - 1 fresh (1), 1 28 oz can crushed (3), 1 28 oz can diced (3), 1 jar tomato basil marinara sauce (4)
• Garlic – 3-4 cloves minced (3), 6 cloves minced (5)
• Celery - 1 c. chopped (2)
• Fresh thyme (optional) - 1/4 tsp (2)
• Potatoes - 6-12 small red (2)
• Corn – 1 pkg frozen (3)
• 1 large eggplant (4) (or 2 if you have a larger family)
• Ginger - 1 tbsp minced + 1 chunk (about 1 1/2 inches long) (5)
• Green onions, for topping (5)
• Lemon - 1 (5)
• Orange - 1 (5)

Breads & starches
• Large tortillas of any flavor kind (I like the green spinach and herb ones) (1)
• Tortilla chips or crackers for topping chili (3)
• 1 1/2 c. rice (jasmine or white tastes best here but brown works too) (5)

Spices/Sauces/Vinegars/Oils/Condiments
• Salt
• Black pepper
• Olive oil
• 1 container chive and onion cream cheese OR hummus (1)
• Ceasar dressing - Annie's brand is my favorite (or Ranch) (1)
• 1 envelope ranch salad dressing/dip mix (3)
• Chili powder - 1-2 tbsp (3)
• Oregano - 1 tsp dried (4)
• Basil - 1 tsp dried (4)
• Honey - 1/3 c. (5)
• Cider vinegar - 1 tbsp (5)
• Sesame oil - 1 tbsp (5)
• Worcestershire sauce  - 1/2 tsp (5)
• Soy sauce - 2 tbsp (5)
• Sesame seeds - for topping (optional) (5)

Dairy
• Shredded cheddar or cheese of choice (1), shredded cheddar cheese, for topping (3)
• Mozzarella cheese - 1 1/2 c. (4)
• Parmesan cheese - 3/4 c. + 2 tbsp (4)

Other
• 1 10 3/4 oz can cream of mushroom soup (2)
• 1 15 1/2-oz can chili beans in chili sauce (mild or hot, depending on preference) (3)
• 2 16-oz cans dark red kidney beans (3)
• 3/4 c. flour (4)
• 2 eggs (4)
• 1 small pkg (or several large handfuls) corn chips or tortilla chips, broken into pieces (5)
• Chicken broth - 2 3/4 c. (5)
• Cornstarch - 1 tsp (5)
